PolyPropylene, the same type of material which is used to produce kitchen tools, is a widely used type of plastic, especially known for its light weight, elasticity, improved thermal resistance and improved wear, abrasion and impact resistance properties. PP’s softening temperature is as high as 100°C, which makes it a good candidate material for applications where heat resistance is important.
General Use: PP is recommended for technical projects with high mechanical and thermal requirements. Our Materials Data Sheet can be consulted here.
Tip: We recommend to use PLA or PET for most applications unless heat resistance above 75°C is required. If you would like to learn more, contact us!
